Program Coordinator

Though I may not have been the best High School or College student, I am still the first in my family to graduate from both.

I graduated high school in 2009 from Sunnyside High School and returned to start my college journey in 2011. I graduated from Heritage University in 2017 with my Bachelor of Social Work, but during those 6 year I didn't just go to college, I became part of the college.

In 2012 I became a founder of the M.E.Ch.A (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/o de Aztlan.) Organization on campus. In 2014 I became a founder of Heritage University's first ever Greek lettered organization Omega Delta Phi.

Within these two organization and the many others I was lucky to be part of I found my own support system that would help me keep going forward in school.

Now, as a Program Coordinator for the LNESC Upward Bound program in Vancouver WA. I find myself in a position where I can use my personal college experiences both good and bad to help guide the next wave of future leaders and be part of their growth and their support network.

My story has many chapters and characters, and I just hope I can make enough of a difference in 1 student’s future to be part of one of their chapters.

On my free time I enjoy many things from building, to jet skiing, watching Netflix on my days off, or walking around town playing Pokémon Go trying to "be the best like no one ever was" - Jason Paig
